Myspace-national threat

Megan, 13 year old girl has just recently committed suicide over an online prank. While using myspace, Megan thought that she had made a new teenage friend by the name of Josh. They began exchanging messages and were constantly talking throughout that month. Megan, who was depressed and diagnosed with ADD, was happy to find someone to actually give her attention. One day out of nowhere the boy abruptly told her they could no longer be friends and she committed suicide the next day. In reality, Josh never existed. He was merely created by a former friend of hers and was used as some sort of practical joke. People, especially teens need to take this as a red flag that Myspace is dangerous if used incorrectly. You should never add someone who you dont know.....or even know exists.

Starbucks vs. McDonalds

McDonalds introuduced a Premium coffee about 18 months ago. Next were limited tests of sweet tea and iced coffee. Since then, it has added the specialty coffee drinks to about 800 U.S. stores, and announced Tuesday that they wanted to add the beverages to locations nationwide by early 2009. The new beverages that McDonalds would like to offer are being compared to Starbucks. McDonalds will have lattes, mochas, cappuccinos and espressos with different flavorings and milk. Industry watchers say the drinks cost about 50 cents less than at starbucks. McDonalds believes that the new drinks will bring in new customers and make them even more money.

Cyclone in Bangladesh

The death toll from the cyclone in Bangladesh has climbed to at least 2300 and is still rising. Relief officials say that the number will continue to increase as they reach more isolated areas. Army troops and international aid organizations worked together to clear roads of fallen trees, broken power lines, and relieving remote villages. The BRCS stated that the death toll is likely to reach 10,000 by the end of everything.

Iraq

Although the troop build up from the beginning of the year has led violence in Iraq to decrease by 55 percent, there is still a huge lack of security. American soldiers in Iraq were handing out toys to local children when a suicide bomber vest came along and killed at least three children, and three soldiers. Seven other children were wounded. The same day there were also attacks on the capitol and to the north. The children seemed to be very pleased and thankful for the soldiers there helping them. That didn't stop the Iraqi suicide bomber. They will even kill their own children if it means making their statement.

Caught up

The votes for Hilary Clinton maybe be increasingly decreasing. It does not go unnoticed when Hilary changes her point of views and personalities to suit the crowd she is performing for. Last week Clinton got caught up sort of cheating through a public talk. Her people were in the audience ready to hit up Clinton with questions she already had the answers for. Everyone does it, but she was unlucky enough to get sniffed out. She is also currently stopping by energy plants along with almost every other candidate to win some votes through "the green votes".

NEW MUTATED COLD VIRUS .... THAT KILLS PEOPLE.

140 or more illnesses have recently developed in the United States because of a mutated strain of cold virus. It has killed ten people in the last 18 months. The illness has not yet been declared as a threat to everyone, however, it made headlines as the 'Bootcamp flu" when it made hundreds of air force trainees ill in San Antonio. One was killed. Also known as an adenovirus, so far there are no new medications to treat this problem. Victims are treated with asprins, bed rest, and liquids at best. It is currently being researched so that scientists might discover how this simple virus became lethal.

An alarm clock ....that won't let you sleep in

A new alarm clock was recently invented that responds to a person who does not want to get out of bed. It is called "clocky". The new alarm clock allows it's owner to hit snooze ONE TIME only for up to nine minutes. After that, if the snooze button is hit again, clocky rolls off of the table with its wheels and begins to run around your bedroom making loud noises until you get out of bed and catch it. You can buy one for about thirty dollars off of the internet or select stores. This would be an excellent product for a person like Erin Helvering who does not get out of bed no matter how many times their alarm goes off =] because the machine will not allow you to press the snooze button and it will run around your room making loud noise and messing stuff up until you turn it off.

A bond for bonds?

After consecutive years of baseball success, Barry Bonds is finally being charged with what he deserved a long time ago. He had been tested and questioned before and passed every test with flying colors. His ego grew over the years as men his age lost muscle and stamina, and curiously, Bonds never did. Finally, better late than never, Bonds was indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice. Finally, right? Now Bonds is facing the possibility of prison life. "This is a sad day for baseball" bla bla bla. It certainly is a let down for all the kids and fans believing they were in love with some kind of super star baseball legend.
